When Renault was developing their people mover in the late Eighties the only similar vehicle was a VW Combi. Renault’s design team were keen to create a new car that responded to a trend they could see in moving families around.

Using an apple on wheels to express their idea, the design team went on to develop what was to become the first people mover; the model known as the Espace.

Connecting to a new idea is about observing trends in the market place and following reoccurring patterns. It’s about collecting the collateral, related and unrelated, to your idea around you. This gives the idea meaning, substance and body. It makes it more than just an idea, it brings it to life for all to see - and most importantly experience.
